Mar 15: Chapter Meeting

February 9, 2016

March 15 (Tues) Rabun TU regular monthly meeting at Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church. Social starts at 6:30 and meeting at 7 pm. Our own Rabunite Dredger will be the guest speaker. His program will be “Dredger’s Dry/Dropper Secrets for Springtime Success.” Being the middle of March his knowledge will be priceless in getting ready for the best season just around the bend.

With possible record turnout for this informative meeting Jeff wanted to be sure everyone had a chance to learn
the tip and tricks so as to experience some great spring fishing, so he included a web site for folks to check out to go along with his program. Access the link for the audio version here and the regular video version here. Jeff is also starting a buddy list for fishing. Find out more about that in the March issue of Tight Lines.

Prez Tammy Wins Mack Martin Rod Sweepstakes

Chapter Prez Tammy Hopton held the winning ticket at the Chapter’s annual July 11 family picnic that she won the raffle for Mack Martin’s custom-built Winston 3-weight fly rod! The rod raffle brought in more than $1,800 to support our programs. That’s a new record. We can’t thank Mack enough for his generosity in crafting and donating such a beautiful trout tickler to our Chapter.
