Nov 5-9: Fall Chapter Campout

September 2, 2014

Nov 5 – 9 (Wed – Sun) Fall Chapter Camp Out.

This campout will be held at the Tallulah River Campground. (First campground on the left on Tallulah River Rd) Rabunite Glenn English will secure a spot to set up the Chapter site for cooking and gathering. The other campsites are first come first serve. Glenn is also looking for volunteers to sign up for cooking a meal (s). Like we did at the spring camp out where we had a different chef at each meal. This helps keep the work load off one person the entire trip and worked great last time. Also if you plan on attending Glenn needs to hear from you also so he will have head counts for each meal. Please let Glenn know by October 31, 2014 on your attendance so Glenn and the other cooks will know how much food to buy. Glenn can reached by phone at 706-212-9983.

Prez Tammy Wins Mack Martin Rod Sweepstakes

Chapter Prez Tammy Hopton held the winning ticket at the Chapter’s annual July 11 family picnic that she won the raffle for Mack Martin’s custom-built Winston 3-weight fly rod! The rod raffle brought in more than $1,800 to support our programs. That’s a new record. We can’t thank Mack enough for his generosity in crafting and donating such a beautiful trout tickler to our Chapter.
