June 18 (Tue) Rabun Chapter Monthly Meeting. Fellowship begins at 6:30 pm, meeting begins at 7:00 pm. Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church, Dillard, GA. Contact Kent Wilson.

Our guest speaker will be Kathy Church, the Education Specialist at Smithgall Woods Conservation Area. She will share with us her successes and plans for the future on educationg young people on the importance of conserving and protecting the cold water resources of North Georgia.

Smithgall Woods Regional Education Center offers programs for students of all ages in cooperation with the Georgia DNR& Wildlife Resources Division, State Parks and Historic Sites Division, and Pioneer RESA. Teacher workshops are held to help teachers learn more about North Georgia’s ecosystems and the unique opportunities available at Smithgall Woods. Casting for Recovery (CfR) provides healing outdoor retreats for women with breast cancer, at no cost to the participants. CfR’s retreats offer opportunities for women to find inspiration, discover renewed energy for life, and experience healing connections with other women and nature.
