Apr 17: Chapter Meeting

April 17 (Thurs):  Regular monthly meeting at the TU/Scout Hut. Starting at 5pm with fly tying and program at 7 pm. Guest speaker is Chuck Head. Chuck is a fly fishing guide for Unicoi Out- fitters. His program is “How to land the fish of your life”. The son of longtime Gold Rush TU’er Sherman Head, Chuck started working for Unicoi Outfitters at age 18. He’s been guiding for trophy trout most of his adult life, and now guides on the Taylor River in Colorado during the summer and for Unicoi Outfitters during the rest of the year. He’s also a volunteer guide for the special gals attending Georgia Casting for Recovery retreats each year. Chuck has put a lot of anglers on the trout of their lifetimes. Come and “catch” him just before he leaves for another summer of Colorado memory making. Learn his tips so that you too just might land YOUR lifetime trophy trout!

Fly tying starts at 5:00. Bring your own equipment if you have it.

6:30 pm – 7:00 Social & Story telling (Truth or Lies), Then at 7:00 – Program & Meeting.

Parking is available in the Rabun County Library parking lot and Rabun County Tax Office parking lot.

At every regular chapter meeting there will be a raffle for fishing or camping items to help pay the cost of mailing the newsletter to members without email. Bring an item to donate and a dollar or two for raffle tickets You Might WIN something !
