2017 Chapter Supporters

Thanks to all who made the 2017 Rabun Rendezvous successful:

The Rabun TU Chapter celebrated our 30th Annual Rabun Rendezvous this year! This is a tremendous milestone for our chapter. “Old Man Winter” smiled on us this year in that he held off the snow, but did provide us with some much needed rain. The clouds parted and we celebrated the kick-off with dry conditions. Thanks to the Dillard House, Foxfire Boys and our guest speaker, Beverly Smith, Vice-President for Volunteer Operations, TU National. Beverly talked about TU, some of its history, roles within the organization and interaction with chapters across our country. Her main focus was “Community”. We are indeed a community and it was evident as we looked around the room and saw the participation from multiple TU chapters and attendees from several states. Beverly shared some great stories that contained a few familiar names, like Doug, Charlie and Kyle. She talked about her interaction with her family and the greater TU family. We felt the presence of missing, but not forgotten members of our TU family in “Around the Bend.” We are indeed blessed to be part of a community who love the outdoors. Thanks to all who were able to attend the Rabun Rendezvous! Those of you who weren’t there, we hope to see you next year. Come be part of our community!
