Rabun TU Connections Featured in TU National Blog

TU National staffer Beverly Smith recently wrote a personal essay, titled “It is Community, Not Coincidence,” about her favorite hidden gem “out west of Hiawassee” and the looping, linking connections in and around the Rabun chapter that led her there. She mentions by name Rabunites Charlie Breithaupt, Jim Kidd, Kyle Burrell, and Doug Adams. Read more here.

Draft Chapter Strategic Plan, 2016-2018

At the July 2016 Board meeting, the Board of Directors reviewed the Chapter’s revised Strategic Plan. The purpose is to more clearly focus on the Chapter priorities, and where we spend our time, effort, and money. The revised Strategic Plan will be presented to the Chapter membership at this month’s meeting. Read more here.

Tallulah River Handicap Fishing Pier is now complete!

Several Rabunites joined USFS personnel late September and early October to complete the pier. There will be an official dedication coming either in November or early spring. Mean while if you know someone who is disabled and wants to fish, go get them and take them fishing! Read more here.
