Helicopter Stocking the Chattooga

November 11, 2013

Helicopter stocking the Chattooga River is accomplished through a cooperative effort by the Forest Service (supplies the manpower and helicopter), Rabun Chapter and GA Council Trout Unlimited and Atlanta Fly Fishing Club (pays for the helicopter flight time), and GA and SC Department of Natural Resources (supplies the fish).

Please support Trout Unlimited through your membership and donations in order to continue the helicopter stocking. Also express your appreciation to the State and Federal agency personnel for their work.

If you fish the Chattooga River, remember to fill out the Angler’s Diary:

http://rabuntu.org/site/chattooga-river-anglers-diary/

The results of the diary give evidence to the agencies on the effectiveness of their efforts.

See you on The River!

Rabun Rendezvous – Thank you!

The Rabun Rendezvous turned out great thanks to all who came, to all who donated, and to all that bid on all our great items. Mother Nature caused a shift in our date, but all of our great friends adjusted their schedules and came out to support us a week later . . . with no SNOW!! Full report coming soon.

Don’t Forget the Chattooga Angler’s Diary!

After a day on the Chattanooga River, please fill out this brief survey so agencies can compile information and continue to improve angling experiences. Thank you! Diary at this link.
