We’re Changing the Day of Week and Location for the Chapter Meetings!

May 31, 2013

The Rabun Chapter has started a new youth outreach with the Boy and Girl Scouts of Rabun County!   The Scouts meet on Tuesday nights, which have also been the nights the Rabun Chapter met.  In order  to accommodate their schedule and allow the Scouts to be included in the Chapter meetings, we are changing the day of week for our monthly meetings.
In addition, the Scouts are remodeling their Scout Hut and have offered the use of the Hut to the Rabun Chapter.   This will give us more room to meet and provide a central, convenient location for our outreach to the Scouts.
For these reasons, the Rabun Chapter is changing the day of week and location for the monthly Rabun Chapter meetings. Beginning in August, 2013 the Rabun Chapter monthly meetings will be held the third Thursday of each month, except for July and December, to be held at the “Scout Hut”, located on GA Hwy 76 West behind the Rabun County Library.   Meetings will begin with a social time at 6:30 pm and a program to begin at 7:00 pm.  Parking for the meeting is in the Library parking lot or in the lot across Hwy 76.
So mark your calendars now for this change!  For more information, contact Jerry McFalls, Rabun Chapter Scout Outreach Coordinator.

Jan 19: 32nd Annual Rabun Rendezvous!

It’s time to Rendezvous!  Yee haa!!!!
Saturday, January 19 at the Dillard House Conference Center, in beautiful Dillard, GA. Based on feedback from previous years, this year we have made a couple of changes to the Rendezvous, such as starting at a slightly earlier time and eliminating the guest speaker, in order to conclude the Rendezvous in time for folks to make the drive home.
